I made a bunch a neat images in Photo Tech. last year, but they're all on a mac zip disc, I have a pc without a zip drive, and therefore cannot get the images except at school. I tried emailing them to myself as JPEGs, but here it says they're .dat files and can't open them. Why can't all these things just be compatible?? 6:08 PM | smovakia I emailed the PetFBI people about volulnteering. I was supposed to call them about two weeks ago. . . I hope they don't deceide they don't want a slacker like me volunteering for them. I need 300 hours of volunteer service to gratuate. I've done about 2-3 hours of volunteer work, and I'm a jounior. 5:40 PM | smovakia My back hurts from rakeing leaves. The back yard's still full of leaves, and both my mom and I have done a lot of rakeing. Of course the girl next door and her friend wanted to play with my cat. We don't let Neko out during the day 'cause their dogs get out a lot, and they panic, and the dogs go berserk, and Neko panics, and someone ends up losing blood. 5:35 PM | smovakia I love the first amendment. How they can think Harry Potter is evil is beyond me. They even seem to have read the books, but they still feel the need to take everything out of context. They even think that the unwillingness to say Lord Voldemort's name is somehow comparing Lord Voldemort(an evil wizard, the bad guy) to God. The won't say his name because they think if they don't say his name, he will be less real. They want him to be less real, because he is too evil. It's sort of a childish reaction, but Harry Potter was written for children, it only has to make sense to children. NONE of the good moral characters in Harry Potter would think of Lord Voldemort as holy. Not only do they take a lot out of context, but they seem very misinformed about the real wicca religion. It's Pegan, not Satanic. They don't believe in Satan. How could they worship him? A lot of people are now very understanding of Hindu and other non-christian reliegions, even if they hold dearly to their own Christianity, but they never seem to be tolerant of Wicca. It seems like Peganism is ok, as long as it's not European Peganism. Anyway, the wizardy and witchcraft Harry Potter is based off of is the same as Merlin, they even talk about Merlin occasionally(I think there's an award or something named after Merlin), and Merlin is sometimes explained as an earley scientist. It's only magic 'til you know how it works.  |
