March 31, 2001You're not insane. You made a lot of good points in you megalong rant. I think my biggest prejudice is against Mormons. I know it's really bad, especially since my sister's mormon. I know I shouldn't judge the whole religion based on a group of about five people, but when my sister became mormon, stuff just sorta got wierd, and lately it's gotten worse. But the doctor said my sister's mental condition was probably going to show up sooner or later anyway. If you're mormon, and you read this, I really will do my best not to judge you by your religion and all my prejudices against it, but it will be hard.On a completely unrelated note: I'm kinda sorry I missed homeroom friday too. Mr. Cole usually screams when the prinicpal talks over the loud speaker, I wonder what he did when he saw that 'homeroom live' thingy. I took the SAT this morning. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great either, seeing as how I had to wake up early and do math . . . but the math seemed easy compared to Algebra II, so it was alright. I would kinda like to have a hamster for a conscience though.2:00 PM | smovakia Well, I went to the local computer store to buy a new power cord for my scanner, but they didn't have any power cords. So I went to Radioshack. The guy there was more helpful then the guy at the computer place. He had a thing that he used to test the cord to make sure it really was broken, and looked up the type of cord in a catalog 'cause they didn't have it there. Unfortunately, they didn't have a 16v. DC power cord in the catalog either. The closest they had was an 18v. cord which would probably damage my scanner. Basically there are no replacements for this power cord. My mom took the car, so I had to take the bus, but I missed said bus and had to walk. It was cold. And now my sister's back in the hospital. But Babylon 5 was on television, so I guess it's not all bad. March 26, 2001Well, I didn't get any actual work done ^_^. But I did figure out what's wronge with my scanner. Apparently the power cord is doesn't work anymore. We tried to replace it with a Nintendo power cord. That was a bad idea. The nintendo power cord wasn't nearly powerful enough, and we're pretty lucky we didn't burn the house down. Now we have to go out and buy a new power cord. But both my mom and I are too tired, so nothing's going to be scanned anytime soon. I dunno what happened to it. Dreamwater has a html tutorial. There are also a lot a editors you can use. I know Adobe has one called Pagemaker, but usually adobe is annoying and make you actually buy their software. I used to use Coffee Cup, but it was slow, and I think you've used it before and didn't like it. If you have Netscape, there's an editor in it called Composer. Composer requires very little if any html knowlage(and it has a spell checker, maybe I should start using this. . .), but I think that can make it a little hard to use sometimes. But then again I'm so used to writting the html myself, I got confused when blogger was putting BR tags in for me. . . It's amazing how long it took me to figure out what was going on. Oh, hey I just noticed, you can write html in composer! Gee, the html it wrote is really complex, it doesn't really need to be that complex. . . 2:41 PM | smovakia x.x my scanner won't turn on. this is a bad week. T.T March 25, 2001I finally did my photography homework. Even if it was a half-assed job. oh well, it's the american way.My sister came over for dinner with her husband. She seemed worse then when she left my dad's house. She also said she was going to quit school and get a job(well, her husband said it, she agreed slowly). I'm not sure she's capible of doing anything right now. She wouldn't be able to hold down a job if it takes her a while to answer simple questions. I'm worried about her.  |
