July 7, 2001Dude. . .8:31 PM | smovakia mmm, root beer float. . . yummy 8:30 PM | smovakia It's almost disturbing how many people get to my site by searching for wimamp. 8:18 PM | smovakia The following is a chain letter I just recived (don't worry, you won't be cursed by it, it's actually a pretty good idea.) GOOD IDEA: When you get those pre-approved letters in the mail Well, why not get rid of some of your other junk mail Send an ad for your local chimney cleaner to American If you didn't get anything else that day, then just Let's turn this into a chain letter! Eventually, the Let's let them know what it's like to get junk mail, Let's help keep our postal service busy since they say Send this to a friend or two or three...or fifty.. This morning I really didn't want to wake up, but not only did I have to, but I had a wierd dream that woke me up. In my dream I was lying on the floor with my arms under my head like a pillow. I was listening to my sister laugh. I've found my sister's laugh to be a bit disconcerting ever since she had her bipolar episode in Chicago and she stayed up all night laughing for no apparent reason. Then I heard my father's voice right behind me. He said "It is time" or something to that effect, and I woke up. The odd thing was I was sleeping in the same position I was in in the dream. I know that doesn't sound all that creepy, but it freaked me out. The reason I havn't blogged for the past few days is that my mom worked from home. She needed to use the computer all day to do this, and by the evening I was already too wrapped up in my non-computer projects to really care about blogging. The good thing about this is I got some work done on Realms, the bad thing is you're probably not going to see it on my web site anytime soon. At least the first act is up. ^_^ July 5, 2001Happy Fourth of July People! er well, I suppose that statement means pretty much nothing to people who aren't American, but if you're not American there's no reason I should wish you a bad day today. ^_^;It rained on our parade this morning. I watched it anyway with megs, and some random person with an extra umbrella lent us an umbrella so we didn't get as soaked as we could have. Most of the day we spent rollarblading around the suburb even though it was raining and everything was wet. By the afternoon it had mostly stopped raining and things started to dry out. We went by your house, Katherine, and considered swinging on your porch swing, but there was car in your driveway and we thought maybe we shouldn't scare your parents. Then Megs went to work and I actually had to spend time with my family. My dad's side of the family. Sometimes I get the feeling I'm invisible to them. Today wasn't as bad as other holidays have been. Last Christmas had to have been the worst. At least there was good food. For the fireworks I met Megan and Callon at the library(not megs, she was still working). The fireworks weren't as good as usual. There were fewer of them, and they botched the ending so people would start to leave thinking it was over, and then more fireworks would come up. We tried to meet megs at the library after the fireworks, but there were just too many people there. I think the kids down the street have stopped shooting off their illigal fire crackers. This is good since now my cat can go outside. Neko was starting to chew on my arm, so I'd rather he went outside right now. *yawn* I'm tired. . . *sleeps* July 3, 2001I went rollarblading with megs today. Then we went to shocc thinking we could get Ranma 1/2 or bublegum crisis or something that Katherine wouldn't kill us for watching with out her, but they closed early. So we went and watched the city fireworks. They were kinda far away and therefore unimpressive, but it was fun. Unfortunately tomorrow megs has to work, and she doesn't get off 'till the same time that the local fireworks start. But we're still planning on rollarblading to various houses and taking food from the various parties. I wish Katherine and Claman were still in town.I love the fourth of July. ^_^ Not because I'm particularly patriotic, just because it's one of the few holidays that you don't have to spend with your family. Anyway, I have to get up early tomorrow to see a parade, so Good Night people! July 2, 2001Why did I not watch this movie when I was younger? I would have loved it. It reminds me a bit of Labyrinth only without the scary David Bowie pants and the singing goblins11:29 PM | smovakia On the Disney channel there's a rather muddy child talking to a . . .um. . . gaint. . .turtle? Do turtle's had noses on their foreheads? Do they even have foreheads? or noses? I think the show might be The Never Ending Story. I never saw the first one, but I did see the second one and there was an amulet or something that looked like what the muddy child had around his neck. 11:13 PM | smovakia Remember, be at one with the iBook :P 10:39 PM | smovakia I have this one neighbor who parks too close to the corner. It's really annoying to try to stop at the stop sign when you've only got a couple feet between the corner and the parked car. He's got a friend now. There are two cars parked too close to the curb now. He also has a tendancy to play really loud music. He's a couple houses down and across the street but I can hear it in my house with the windows shut. But he's only done that a couple times. 10:36 PM | smovakia It's cold! It's July, it's not supposed to be cold. 1:28 PM | smovakia July 1, 2001My feet hurt. x.x remind me not to get a job that requires me to stand all day when I'm older. And if I do for some reason have to get a job that requires me to stand all day remind me to get when that they pay me for. Today at Cosi I was the only volunteer for my area. There were still paid team members, but I was the only volunteer. Luckily we weren't very crowded today.Poor Katherine. Punch Joie or whatever-his-name-is for me. At least the other people there sound nice. |
