August 10, 2001People think lot of odd stuff is demonic. This person not only thinks Magic: the Gathering is evil, but Pogs too! I don't find the article to be quite as bad as one I read a while back about the evils of Pokemon. (There's a psychic in one episode! There were many many people at cosi today. Mostly young children in large groups with few adults. There were also more volunteers then I'm used to. I like it better on Sunday when there's maybe 20 volunteers and guests (they're actually customers, but we can't call them that) don't show up 'till we've been open an hour and a half. I also might start working camp-ins this winter. It'll be good 'cause it's 18 hours of volunteer time in one chunk, but bad for the same reason. I didn't assume correctly about parking, but the guy behind me was nice and told me where to park. The new activity to explain the layers of the atmosphere is officially the worst idea the cosi people have ever had. I got the the troposphere(12 KM above sea level) and the kid I was talking to said " that's all I wanted to know" and ran away. Literally ran away. August 8, 2001I really don't want to go in to cosi tomorrow. . . but I signed up and it's too late to cancel. The problem is I have to drive myself there, and I honestly don't know where to park. I assume I can park in the lot by where my mom usually drops me off, but I don't know that. I looked through all the papers they gave me when I first started volunteering there, and there is absolutly no information about parking! Most of the volunteers are 13, so it kinda makes sense, but they do have adult volunteers and older teens. I might have to call cosi to find out where to park.I remember looking for that comet. I think there was only one night when it wasn't cloudy and we could see it. August 7, 2001I think I saw a shooting star for the first time last night. I was standing outside Megan's house talking with her and Claman. There was a point of light that sorta fell and faded out. I know there's supposed to have been a meteor shower last night, but I didn't think any of them could be seen so close to the city.10:12 AM | smovakia August 6, 2001I've spent all day moving the winamp skins that were at my old angelfire site to their own folder so I can move the rest of my site to angelfire. My head hurts now. It's going to take me forever to move everything. At least I uploaded two new skins. It was pretty good. It reminded me a bit of Braveheart, Mel Gibson's good at fighting the British. 7:15 PM | smovakia -_-# blogger ate my post! I don't wanna type it up again. . . Well, here's an abbreviated version: There weren't many people at cosi today, and there was a new floor vehicle involving space food. We were allowed to sit on the couch in space while showing guests the space food. Did you know pudding cups were invented for space travel? I could try looking for it at the downtown library, but I don't know how to get there and my mom really doesn't like going all the way there just for one book. It can't be checked out at my local library forever.  |
