August 24, 2001Some company sent me spam telling me that they're offering me a new free service in which they send me advertisements. In fact stars with negative magnitudes are brighter then stars with positive magnitudes. @_@ I finished my Astronomy lesson and sent it in. I'll have to take the first test sometime soon. It was the first day of school for the people taking classes there. It was kinda odd going to school just for lunch. Not that I'm complaining.4:35 PM | smovakia August 22, 2001I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that a star that's 20pc away with an apparent magnitude of 4 doesn't have an absolute magnitude of -11. I don't think it's possible for stars to have negative magnitudes. I mean if a star appears to be emitting light at 20pc away, shouldn't it appear to be emitting more light if it were somehow moved to 10pc away? Er, sorry for all you people out there who know even less about astronomy than I do. It's a really fun course, or it would be if I could do math. . .12:47 PM | smovakia Yesterday I went over to Callon's house and watched all three Indiana Jones movies. It was quite fun, and his mom makes really yummy brownies. I also found out that school doesn't actually start 'till thursday. We made plans to go putput golfing today, but it's raining so those plans are shot. Oh well, I really should work on Astronomy. 10:47 AM | smovakia August 20, 2001I posted something two days ago and haven't published this yet. That's really bad.Sorry for the lack of posting. I was at cosi yesterday. I got my white star! I'm happy about this dispite the fact that I think it's childish that they give us stars. Oh well, my mom's old manager used to give out stars to employees who had good evaluations. School starts on Wendsday. I was supposed to be done with the third lesson of Astronomy by then. . . oh well, I only have three more pages to do. They're three rather math filled pages so I probably won't be done on time, but I'll be close.  |
