My uncle's in town, so my mom, sister, and I went over to my grandparents house where he's staying. We spent most of the evening installing Juno's free web service on their computer only to have Juno's servers reject us. So my grandparents are still without internet access, but that's probably ok since they're not entirely sure what a window is much less the internet.
My uncle talked a little about war, he said he hopes he's too old to be drafted. My mom's worried about my brother being drafted. I don't want my brother to be drafted. I don't want Claman or Callon to be drafted either. Claman and Callon aren't old enough yet, but they're very close and if there's a long war. . .

A friend of mine was worried about one of his friends in New York, and yesterday he heard from his friend. Apparently his friend wasn't injured by the WTC falling down, but he fell down a completly unrelated flight of stairs and broke his arm. smovakia | 4:26 PM

Today was better then yesterday. I got some work done. I studied for my astronomy exam and finished The Second Foundation. And I fed the ducks. I don't know why, but feeding ducks is quite relaxing.

The media's been pretty good about reminding people that although they think the attack was planned and carried out by arab terrorists that doesn't mean that all arabs/muslims are enemies. That's part of the reason why I'm disturbed by people threatening mosques and generally being racist. You'd think we would have learned not to blame a whole race because a group of them are our enemy in WWII when we took Japanese Americans from their homes. Particularly since we don't even know who our current enemy is.
It is a new day, and the universe still seems to be here. Hopefully it will stay that way. I'm glad you and your family and friends are all ok. smovakia | 10:06 AM

I don't have to go into cosi again 'till the end of the month!!! ^__^ There was noone at cosi today. It was kinda nice. There was also a family festival on the riverfront (right in front of cosi) and I got to spend and hour and a half at the festival 'cause cosi had a tent there and they needed volunteers to hand out information. It was nice to be somewhere that was bright, the area I work in is mostly lit with black lights. smovakia | 7:35 PM
