I spent 2 1/2 hours this morning trying to draw a cylinder. x.x it was painful.

I don't like people like this person. There are worse evils then a popular children's book. Her insistance that children should be reading Beowulf bothered me to no end. Children should be let to read what they like. Who cares if it's an imaginative story written using simple words?

One problem I've run into now that's I've read some classics is that many writers who are considered good authors write in a way were it's hard to forget that you're being told a story. It's a little hard for me to describe, but with the Harry Potter books the words flow better then in say The Three Musketeers. Because of that Harry Potter was more interesting to me, I could concentrate on the action rather then the words. Brian Jacques always says "Paint with words" I think that doesn't have to mean using a large vocabulary or adorned prose, but just getting the pictures across with out distracting the reader.

I'm not very good at arguing my point. x.x perhaps someday I'll be eloquent.

Good luck. I know what you mean about Americans being suddenly nationalistic. Callon made a T-shirt that said "U.S. Army (we mostly hide behind the nuclear arsenal anyway)" and he was afraid to wear it in public, when he would have worn it in public if it weren't for all this.

There was an Apocalypse Now Redux poster at the Drexel when I was there last week.

Last night I was so busy being in a bad mood, that I forgot to watch Samurai Jack. x.x Oh well, corecom hasn't disconnected me yet today *knocks on wood* so hopfully my mood will be better tonight. But still, Samurai Jack hasn't such pretty pretty animation, and I missed it. . .

-_-# corecom was disconnecting me so much that mom let me log in to the internet service her office provides. It'll disconnect me in a half hour, but corecom was disconnecting me ever 3-5 min.

The theme for homecoming was apparently a rave. Glow sticks and everything, drug use was probably a little less obvious then in a normal rave. They couldn't actually call it a rave seeing as how it was a school sponsor event, so in stead they called the theme fantasy. If I'm not mistaken fantasy usually involves magic or dragons or elves.

I went to Applebee's for lunch today with my mom. There were pieces of paper with flags printed on them taped to most of the walls. I think people who donated money for something related to 9/11 got to write a message on those pieces of paper or something. Anyway, one of the flags had 'KICK ASS, BUSH!' written on it.

I sent in my OSU application today, and I'm almost finished with my CCAD application. I have to deceide when I'll have my portfolio done before I can submit my CCAD application. . . I don't know when it'll be done. It's too much work for me to think about.

I think my freespeech.org site should be dissappearing soon since freespeech.org said Oct. 7th was the last day before they discontinue free web hosting.
